Sarangi artist Harjot Singh to feature live at Vengo Land on 12 September

Sept. 12: The outbreak of coronavirus pandemic followed by nationwide lockdown had captivated people inside their house. It was at that juncture that a musical group Vengo Land was formed by eminent singer Venu Gopal. This is a virtual group in Facebook and its members are ever increasing. Every weekend, one can see musical performances by both amateur artists and those well established in the industry.

Informing about this, admin Venugopal and Paramita Paul of Vengo Land Facebook Page said, “This weekend stay tuned to Vengo Land to watch Sarangi artist Harjot Singh at 7 PM.”

Harjot Singh  was born on 17 September, 2000. He started learning table from his father Inderjeet Singh at the age of only 2 years. He then also learnt table under Ustad Kashmir Singh and then under Pandit Ramakant. At the age of 5, Harjot Singh started learning sarangi from Ustad Inderjeet Singh Bindu. He is a winner of sarangi solo competition organised by AIU national youth festival, 2020. Apart from Sarangi, Harjot Singh also plays table, dilruba, taar, sehnai, esraj, taus etc.
