Govt. reluctant over Gadget Notification, Hindu Samhati readies to hit the streets in protest
September 14: In order to provide shelter to the Hindu refugees of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan, the Central Government came up with a Gadget Notification on 7 September 2015, but surprisingly, the Gadget notification was not implemented. Hindu Samhati has been demanding the implementation of the Gadget Notification in Assam for a long time now, but the current BJP governement in Assam has been maintaining a complete silence or a state of ignorance towards this issue.
In a press release, the Hindu Samhati stated, “The Trinamool Congress government in West Bengal and Congress government in Punjab has also implemented the Gadget notification in their states but the Assam Governments’ approach towards this issue has been disheartening and seems more like a treachery, which ultimately has pushed Hindu Samhati to opt for bigger protests in the State.”
The release further stated that the “Hindu Samhati has time and again been helping the Hindu Bengalis of Barak Valley by providing them legal advice, support, and fighting their cases in the court, helping the poor Hindus in the outskirts of Silchar, Sonai and Udharbond in filling up their forms, protesting against the injustice met over by the Bengali Hindus in several parts of Assam by the chauvinism exhibited by the Assamese populace.”
It was stressed in the release that the Central Leadership of Hindu Samhati is already preparing to file a case in the Supreme Court of India against the injustice done on the Hindu Bengalis of Assam.
