‘Graduate Juice Wala’: Inspired by YouTube, Silchar youth starts his own venture
Real life story of the grand beginning of the end of unemployed life....
April 25: The trend which is mostly followed in Barak Valley is to seek for a government job, however, petty it might be in the hope of a “secured future”! Hardly, the youths aspire to become entrepreneurs who creates a new business, bearing most of the risks and enjoying most of the rewards. Although, business ventures involves risk, yet the saying goes, “No risk, no gain.” Those who have the guts & bag full of ideas do dedicate themselves in starting their own venture, which if planned properly can reap immense profit. Such rare, but not extinct breed of entrepreneurs are commonly seen as an innovator, a source of new ideas, goods, services, and business/or procedures.
When the 2nd wave of coronavirus has become a major cause of anxiety for many, a recently graduate youth from Cachar College, Silchar has decided to turn the tables in his favour and start his own venture. Abhishek Goala graduated from Cachar College in the last session. Like his other batch-mates, he preferred not to wait for the job of a TET teacher (the most coveted (!) job in Assam now) or any other such government jobs. Being a youth of the digital generation, Abhishek spent a lot of time in YouTube watching creative videos.
Instead of squandering his time and energy in gossips and chat in social media like most others of his age does, Abhishek Goala frequented YouTube, where he was searching for some plan to do something unique which would enable him to do some work and earn his livelihood. One day, while surfing YouTube, Abhishek came across some videos wherein he was attracted towards making a wide variety of juice and mocktail. It was like an “Eureka” to the youth. From one such video to another, he continuously watched a series of such videos where preparation of multiple variety of juice was explained.
At once, he determined to start his own juice shop in Silchar. He started to make a blueprint of his dream venture. This was at all not a cake walk for the recently graduated Abhishek Goala. But his strong determination provided him the impetus to move ahead. He managed to find a location at Shyama Prasad Road (Shillongpatty- opposite Hotel Sudakshina), Silchar. To start with, Abhishek felt it was a nice spot. Immediately he started to give shape to the shop. When everything was done, the most important thing remained; it was that his dream shop required a name. Many names came in his mind, some names were even suggested by his friends and family members. But none seem to be close to his heart. He wanted to give such a name to his shop which would reflect his own life, his own career and at the same time make people understand that he has started this shop in his quest of becoming an entrepreneur.
Finally, the name “Graduate Juice Wala” came across his mind. He at once locked this name and made a signboard for his shop, which apart from names of some brand of juice also contained a link for his Facebook Page with the name “Graduate Juice Wala.” The opening ceremony of this dream venture took place on Sunday, which was attended by his close friends, relatives and acquaintances. Pinak Roy, a social worker took to his own Facebook Page wherein he posted a photograph in front of the “Graduate Juice Wala” wherein he wrote, “First Day happy customer.” Beneath his post, many netizens showered lavish praises upon Abhishek Goala for launching this venture and expressing the desire to have a sip of delicious juice at “Graduate Juice Wala.” And yes, his catchy tag line is “Pyar Wala Juice: 30ml taste it free.”
Such real life stories provide impetus to the great transformation of our thought process from job seekers to job givers…..
