Rohit Sharma to replace Virat Kohli as India’s ODI captain
Dec. 8: Rohit Sharma has replaced Virat Kohli as India’s full time ODI captain. Further, Rohit has also replaced Ajinkya Rahane as India’s test Vice captain for the upcoming tour of South Africa.
Taking to its twitter handle on Wednesday, BCCI wrote, “The All-India Senior Selection Committee also decided to name Mr Rohit Sharma as the Captain of the ODI & T20I teams going forward.”

Rohit had earlier replaced Virat Kohli as T20I captain after Virat Kohli quit T20I captaincy following the T20 World Cup 2021. The first assignment of Rohit Sharma as the Captain of the ODI team will be a 3-match ODI series against South Africa which will Kickstart on 19 January, 2021.
