ভাইরেংটিতে উদ্ধার অপহৃত ব্যবসায়ী

২৮ জানুয়ারিঃ অপহরণের ঘণ্টা চারেকের মধ্যে উদ্ধার হলেন ব্যবসায়ী পুরানজিত দত্ত ওরফে রঞ্জিত। অপহরণকরীরা তাকে মিজোরামের ভাইরেংটিতে ছেড়ে দিয়ে পালায়। সেখান থেকে তাকে শিলচরে নিয়ে আসা হয়েছে। পুলিশ সুপার মুগ্ধজ্যোতি মহন্ত সহ পদস্থ অফিসাররা তার সঙ্গে কথা বলছেন। প্রকৃত ঘটনা বুঝে নেওয়ার চেষ্টা করছেন তাঁরা।

প্রাথমিক তদন্তে পুলিশের অনুমান, ব্যবসায়িক দ্বন্দ্ব বা অর্থকড়ি সংক্রান্ত বিবাদের জেরে আউলিয়াবাজার স্থিত তাঁর ইলেকট্রিক অটো-র শো-রুম ‘অনিকা’ থেকে দত্তবাবুকে তুলে নেওয়া হয়েছিল। পুলিশের দাবি, অপহরণের কথা জানার সঙ্গে সঙ্গে তারা বিভিন্ন দিকে অভিযানে নামেন। সমস্ত থানা ও চৌকিকে সতর্ক করা হয়। জানিয়ে দেওয়া হয় মিজোরাম পুলিশকেও। এই পুলিশি ততপরতা টের পেয়েই দুষ্কৃতীরা তাকে নিয়ে আর এগনোর সাহস পায়নি। পুলিশকর্তারা জানিয়েছেন, অপহরণকারীদের চিহ্নিত করা গিয়েছে। শীঘ্র তাদের গ্রেফতারে সক্ষম হবেন তাঁরা।

January 28: Miscreants kidnapped a businessman from Auliya Bazar in Cachar district on Monday late afternoon. However, within 4 hours of the incident, the kidnapped businessman Puranjit Dutta, alias Ranjit was found. The kidnappers left him at Vairengte in Mizoram and fled away. He was brought from Vairengte to Silchar. Police Super Mugdhajyoti Mahanta and other officers are in conversation with him and trying to know the actual incident.

Preliminary investigation by the police revealed that probably due to business rivalry, Puranjit Dutta was kidnapped from his Electric Auto showroom ‘Anika’ at Auliya Bazar in Cachar district. Police Super said that they acted very fast and informed all police stations of the district along with Mizoram police also. It is probably due to timely intervention of the police that the kidnappers left Mr. Dutta and fled away. However, police was able to identify those who were involved in this crime. They were confident of arresting the culprits soon.
