Ramanuj Vidyamandir tops Inter school quiz competition organised by ‘Esho Boli’

September 15: It were the students of Ramanuj Vidyamandir, Silchar who became champions of the Inter School Quiz Competition organised by renowned youth organisation ‘Esho Boli’ on Sunday. Kendriya Vidyalaya, Silchar became the runners-up. A total of 11 teams from 10 schools of the district participated in this quiz competition. The Quiz Competition was held at Hotel Ellora Heritage Assembly, Silchar.

The programme began with lightning of the lamp by the invited dignitaries comprising of the Chief Guest Dr. Arjun Chaudhuri, Shankar Prasad Chakraborty, Jhalak Chakraborty, Joydeep Chakraborty and Karunamoy Paul. The guests were then felicitated by the members of ‘Esho Boli.’ Sabyasachee Rudra Gupta, President of ‘Esho Boli’ delivered the welcome address. Lucy Das, Convenor of symposium delivered the vote of thanks. The inaugural session was compered by Shibam Das.

Then began the quiz contest among the 11 teams. Each team was represented by 3 participants. Sayan Chatterjee was the quiz master, who was assisted by Subhajit Das. There were questions on a variety of topics including Science, education, history, economics, freedom movement, movies, sports, music, current affairs, Barak valley, riddles etc. Anoop Dutta and Basab Chakraborty did the task of scorers.

Later on, prizes were distributed among the winners. Speaking during the occasion, Sabyasachi Rudra Gupta, President of ‘Esho Boli’ said, “It’s indeed a great experience to see all the participants in such an active spirit. Our organisation is committed to the welfare of the youth and we will continue to be besides them so that their inner talents may get exposed. I would like to express my thanks to all the school authorities for sending their students.”

The members of ‘Esho Boli’ Neha Chakraborty, Hrituraj Bhattacharjee, Nikita Banik, Anirban Roy among others played an active part in organising this event.
