Railways to operate over 400 Mahakumbh special trains for 3rd amrit snan

New Delhi, February 2 : Railways will operate more than 400 Mahakumbh mela special trains from various railway stations in Prayagraj on the occasion of 3rd amrit snan on Basant Panchami. This will provide seamless connectivity and uninterrupted travel for millions of pilgrims. The third Amrit Snan will be held on tomorrow. Railways has made elaborate arrangements to cater the rush of devotees during the amrit snan on Basant Panchami.

Chief Public Relations Officer, North Central Railway, Shashikant Tripathi said, Railway is making the same preparation on Vasant Panchami as they had done on Mauni Amavasya. Mr Tripathi said, Railways has made robust arrangements at the premises of all the railway stations to provide medical services to the devotees. He said, a total of 32 medical booths equipped with doctors and paramedical staff are functional at Prayagraj Junction and eight other railway stations. Railways has also set up holding areas where passengers can wait before proceeding to their respective destination.
