৩ ডিসেম্বরঃ উপাচার্যের সঙ্গে দেখা করতে গিয়ে পটনা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে নিগ্রহের মুখে পড়লেন প্রশান্ত কিশোর। ইটের ঘায়ে তাঁর গাড়ির কাঁচ ভেঙে গিয়েছে। অভিযোগ উঠেছে, ছাত্র সংসদ নির্বাচনে প্রভাব খাটানোর জন্য তিনি উপাচার্যের সঙ্গে কথা বলতে গিয়েছিলেন।

এতদিন প্রশান্ত কিশোর বললেই মানুষ বুঝে নিতেন,ওই সেই ইলেকশন স্ট্র্যাটেজিস্ট। এখন তিনি সংযুক্ত জনতা দলের সহ-সভাপতি। সেজন্যই এমন সময়ে তাঁর উপস্থিতিকে মেনে নিতে পারেননি বিরোধীরা। তাদের মধ্যে মূলত ছিলেন অখিল ভারতীয় বিদ্যার্থী পরিষদের প্রার্থী ও সমর্থকরা। তাঁরা উপাচার্য রাসবিহারী সিংহের সরকারি আবাসের সামনে বিক্ষোভ দেখান। সে সময় নির্বাচন আধিকারিক রামশঙ্কর আর্যও উপাচার্যের বাসভবনে ছিলেন। বিক্ষোভের দরুন প্রশান্ত কিশোর উপাচার্যের ঘর থেকে বেরোতে পারছিলেন না। পুলিশ গিয়ে কোনওক্রমে তাঁকে গাড়িতে তুলে দিয়ে দ্রুত বেরিয়ে যেতে বলে। শারীরিক নিগ্রহ থেকে বেঁচে গেলেও তাঁর গাড়ির বেশ ক্ষতি হয়েছে। সামনের কাঁচ ইটের ঘায়ে একেবারে চৌচির।

আগামী ৫ ডিসেম্বর পটনা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে ছাত্র সংসদের নির্বাচন। প্রশান্ত কিশোর জানিয়েছেন, তাঁর সঙ্গে এই নির্বাচনের সম্পর্ক নেই। তিনি উপাচার্যের বাসভবনে গিয়েছিলেন তাঁর কাকার দুর্য়োগ মোকাবিলা সংক্রান্ত এক প্রকল্প নিয়ে কথা বলার জন্য।

December 3: Prashant Kishor, Janata Dal United (JDU) Vice President suffered injuries on Monday after his car was attacked by female students of Patna University. Kishor had arrived at Patna University to meet its Vice Chancellor. However, after his meeting, he and his car was attacked by some students. Poll strategist Prashant Kishor had joined Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United) recently.

A resident of Buxar district in the state, Kishor had shot to fame in 2014 when he managed the poll campaign for Narendra Modi, then the prime ministerial candidate of the BJP, which went on to put up its best-ever electoral performance. A year later, he collaborated with Kumar who returned to power for his third consecutive term after registering a handsome victory in the assembly polls which the JD(U) had fought in alliance with the RJD and the Congress. The chief minister rewarded Kishor by appointing him as his adviser and giving him a cabinet minister rank.
