PM Modi addresses the press but solemn silence on election results!

December 11: Prime Minister Narendra Modi  at 10.30 AM on Monday made a “humble request” to all MPs to rise above party politics and  ensure healthy debates during the Winter Session so that maximum economic benefits can reach people of the nation. Speaking to reporters just before the outside Parliament just before the beginning of the Winter session, PM Modi said the government had made efforts during the Winter Session of Parliament to fulfill the nation’s “high hopes” that there won’t be any politics on crucial issues. The Prime Minister said: “Let’s have a detailed discussion, come out with positive suggestions and make a road map to march ahead.” His bottomline was “Let’s debate and resolve issues.”

However, interestingly, the Prime Minister was totally silent on the trends of election results where BJP seems to have cut a sorry figure. The BJP is trailing in all the four states: Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telengana, Chattisgarh and Mizoram. The two minutes speech of Modi appeared rather to be a compulsion than to portray the mandate of the people which went against his party.
