Picnic parties be cautious, Govt forms panel to monitor activities of picnic goers in Assam
December 1: Come winter and there is rush for people to go to picnic in serene sites. Already people have started to go to picnic, which would be more intensified towards the mid of December till the mid of January. But from now onwards, picnic parties in all the districts of Assam needs to be very cautious as the government will be keeping an eye on their activities.
As per a notification issued by Assam Government, a District Picnic Monitoring and Supervisory Committees (DPMSC) will now be formed in all districts of the state to monitor the activities of the picnic parties. Deputy Commissioners of the respective districts will act as the chairman.of the DPMSC. the Committee will also have members from the departments of Home, Forest, Health, Finance, Tourism including the local bodies in it.
The DPMSC will be formed to keep a strict vigil on the activities of the picnic parties in view of environmental safety, sustainable tourism, and public safety. The committee will ensure that the picnic parties abide by the rules and regulations. In case of any breach of norms, heavy penalty will be imposed on the picnic parties.
So from now onwards, whenever you prepare to go for picnic, do keep in mind the do’s and dont’s issued by the DPMSC.
