Pedestrian hit by a truck died on spot in Karimganj’s Akbarpur

October 22: In a tragic street accident, a pedestrian was hit by a speeding truck on Tuesday at a place called Akbarpur in Karimganj district. Eye witnesses revealed that the accident occured as a result of overtaking by two trucks at a very high speed. Unable to control, one of the trucks hit the pedestrian and he died on the spot.

The deceased was later on identified as Akran Ali, who was by profession a hand cart puller. The killer truck was later on stopped by the people. The truck bearing No. AS01 L 6764 was later on taken in its custody by the police.
