Peace India supports Barak Bandh, to participate in rally too

২১ নভেম্বর : কাগজ কল বাঁচাও আন্দোলনে সমর্থন জানিয়েছে বেসরকারি সংগঠন পিস ইন্ডিয়া। বুধবার শিলচরে এক সাংবাদিক বৈঠক করে সংস্থার কর্মকর্তারা জানান, বৃহস্পতিবারের বনধকে তারা আন্তরিকভাবে সমর্থন করছেন।

এইচ পি সি পেপার মিল রিভাইবেল অ্যাকশন কমিটি ২২ নভেম্বর ১২ ঘণ্টার বরাক বনধের ডাক দিয়েছে। পাঁচগ্রাম ও নগাঁও কাগজ কলকে পুনরায় চালু করার দাবিতে একের পর এক আন্দোলন কর্মসূচির অঙ্গ হিসেবে কমিটি এই বরাক বনধের ডাক দেয়।

বেসরকারি এই সংগঠনের সভাপতি মাহফুজ আহমেদ লস্কর বলেছেন, কেন্দ্র ও রাজ্য সরকার উভয়ই হাজার হাজার মানুষের জীবন নিয়ে খেলা করছে। দুটি কাগজ কলকে পুনরায় চালু করার ক্ষেত্রে যথাযথভাবে কোনও পদক্ষেপ না নেওয়ায় তিনি বর্তমান বিজেপি সরকারের সমালোচনা করেন। এদিকে বুধবার বিকেলে শিলচরে আয়োজিত গণ মিছিলেও পিস ইন্ডিয়ার সদস্য সদস্যরা অংশগ্রহণ করেন।

November 21: HPC Paper Mills Revival Action Committee has given a call for 12-hour Barak Bandh on 22 November. Barak bandh in demand of revival of the paper mills at Nagaon and Panchgram. In this regard, a NGO named, PEACE INDIA convened a press meet on Wednesday and informed that they too will be wholeheartedly supporting the bandh on Thursday.

Mahifuz Ahmed Laskar, President of the NGO said that both the central and the state government are playing with the lives of thousands of people. He blamed the BJP government for not showing sincere efforts in the revival of the two paper mills. PEACE INDIA will also participate in the mass rally on this issue at 3.30 PM on Wednesday.
