Peace Foundation conducts industrial awareness programme in Silcharপিস ফাউন্ডেশনের শিল্পোদ্যোগ সচেতনতা কর্মসূচি শিলচরে
February 20: Peace Foundation in collaboration with District Industrial and Commerce Centre (DICC), Silchar conducted a one-day industrial awareness programme. The said programme was organised in a banquet hall in Silchar on Wednesday. The Chief Guest of the occasion was Manabendra Dutta, Joint Director of Ministry of Small and Micro Finance. Apart from him, Alok Saikiya, Deputy Manager of DICC, Asit Dutta, Member of Chamber of Commerce, Sumit Bhattacharjee, Finance Director of DICC, Salem Barbhuiya and Serad Choudhury also graced the occasion as invited guests.
At the outset, Shabnam Sultana, Chief Adviser of Peace Foundation explained the objectives of the awareness programme. She spoke in details as to how the unemployed youth can channelise their resources. She also highlighted various schemes launched by the Ministry of Small and Micro Finance of the state government. She said that these schemes can enable the unemployed youth to shape their career. Manabendra Dutta, Ashok Saikia and Amit Dutta highlighted the various schemes and projects of DICC and also explained the procedure of applying for the same.
The prime aim of the awareness programme was to highlight the fact the youth instead of running after government & private jobs, how they can reap benefits of various schemes of the govt in the industrial sector. The dignitaries present during the occasion praised the role of peace Foundation in making the people aware about the various schemes of the state government. Chief Adviser Shabnam Sultana assured to arrange similar other programmes in the near future and urged upon the youth to come forward with a positive mindset.
