NSS Unit of G.C.College conducts special camp at Itkhola

November 21: The NSS, Units I and II, Gurucharan College, Silchar, Assam, has embarked on a week-long ‘Special Camp – 2018’, conceptualised and executed around the theme, “For Tobacco-free Youth”.

Beginning on 19th Nov., and being conducted in the Units’ adopted slum at Itkhola, Silchar, it will conclude on 25th Nov., 2018.

The first three days of the camp witnessed enthusiastic participation of the college’s NSS volunteers who carried out sensitisation drives on the adverse effects of tobacco consumption, and survey on tobacco usage.

NSS Programme Officers of the two units of G.C. College Dr. Apratim Nag and Mehdi Hasan Chowdhury accompanied the students to this special camp. They said that the NSS units of the college has conducted various other programmes in the past. As regards future planning, the two Programme Officer said they have many other programmes in hand which the NSS Units will execute soon.
