Nrityanjali Dance School organises colourful cultural bonanzaনৃত্যাঞ্জলি ড্যান্স স্কুলের বর্ণাঢ্য সাংস্কৃতিক আয়োজন
January 20: The Biennial Ceremony of ‘Nrityanjali Dance School’ was organized on Saturday at Silchar Gandhi Bhawan. The programme began with the lighting of the lamp and felicitation of renowned personalities by the members of Nrityanjali Dance School.
Dipti Sen Ghosh, teacher of Silchar Don Bosco School as well as the Principal of Sudhirananda Music College and Swarnali Chowdhury, Chief Coordinator of Barak-Brahmaputra Friendship Mission cum Social and Cultural Activist were the esteemed guest of honor who were felicitated. Dipankar Ghosh, an author as well as an orator and Gautam Bhattacharjee, Chief Coordinator of Arya Sanskriti Bodhani Samiti were the special invites of the event . The welcome address was delivered by Nalsi Aditya, executive member of Nrityanjali Dance School followed by a dance’on Ganesh Vandana.
Sonali Dey, the executive director of Nrityanjali Dance School and Gayatri Dev, the Principal cum Secretary of Nrityanjali Dance School felicitated Khem Bajadur Sai, Santosh Chanda, Sujit Paul, Shibam Das and Disha Das.
Artists of Nrityanjali Dance School, Sudhirananda Music College, Purnima Dance Academy, Mathurapur Kala Niketan, Chhandalay, Anjani Nritya Niketan engulfed the audience by the performances of Bharatnatyam, Odissi, Fusion dance, dance dramas etc. Group songs were performed by the artists of Silchar Youth Choir. The key attraction of the biennial ceremony of Nrityanjali Dance School was the dance-drama “Na Hanyate”, which was mainly based on the concept of feminism. Another dance drama named as “Krishna leela” propounded three stages of the life of Lord Krishna.
At the end of the celebration Gayatri Dev, Sonali Dey, Nalsi Aditya and other members of Nrityanjali Dance School offered their vote of thanks. The programme came to an end by the prize distribution ceremony wherein awards were given to the winners of art and dance competitions which took place on 13 and 18 January. The whole event was compered by Shibam Das and Disha Das.
