NRC: 3rd FIR lodged against Prateek Hajelaপ্রতীক হাজেলার বিরুদ্ধে তৃতীয় এফআইআর দায়ের
September 8: A fresh complaint was filed against National Register of Citizens (NRC) coordinator Prateek Hajela alleging him of discrepancies in the final NRC list. Krishal Samik Unnayan Parishad (KSUP) filed the complaint at Dispur police station in Guwahati.
This was the third complaint filed against Mr.Hajela since the publication of the final NRC on 31 August, 2019. Pradip Kalita, President of KSUP told media that the Parishad will move the Supreme Court, if the police do not take any action against Hajela.
Again, a complaint was also filed against Hajela by All Assam Goriya-Moriya Yuva Chatra Parishad (AAGMYCP) against discrepancies in NRC in Guwahati.
Chandan Mazumder, a resident of Dibrugarh failed to find a place in the final National register of Citizens (NRC) published on 31 August, 2019. Mazunder claiming himself to be a bonfide citizen of India lodged a FIR against NRC State Coordinator Prateek Hajela. He categorically stated that his name has not been included and it is “done with a criminal conspiracy by Sri Prateek Hajela, IAS, State Coordinator, NRC, Assam and his NSK team disobeying law with intent to cause injury by framing an incorrect document.” In this connection, a case has been registered at the Dibrugarh Police Station under sections 120(B), 166/167 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
