Barak Valley records 81 positive cases on Wednesday

July 15: On Wednesday, the three districts of Barak Valley (Cachar, Karimganj & Hailakandi) recorded 81 new cases of novel coronavirus. A total of 17 fresh COVID-19 positive cases were reported from Cachar. Hailakandi registered a huge number of 42 new cases, whereas in Karimganj there were 22 positive cases.

Further, a total of 52 patients were discharged from across the three districts of Barak Valley. 16 persons were discharged from Cachar, 16 from Karimganj and 19 from Hailakandi. From now onwards, only symptomatic patients of Cachar district will be admitted at Silchar Medical College & Hospital. Also, critical COVID cases from both Hailakandi and Karimganj will also be treated at SMCH.
