Netaji Mela inaugurated in Karimganj by Parimal Suklabaidya

February 24: Keeping up to the tradition, the Netaji Mela was inaugurated in Karimganj by Assam Minister Parimal Suklabaidya in presence of Municipal authorities and other dignitaries of the town. The Mela (fair) was inaugurated on Sunday. Infact, the Mela used to begin on 23 January every year to commemorate the birthday of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.

But this year there was a delay of almost a month. Though the Netaji Mela was formally inaugurated on Sunday, yet many stalls are still to open.
