Narcotics seized in two incidents in Cachar

way2barak, Dec 2: Acting on the  basis of a secret information Sonai Police intercepted an Alto car Reg. No. AS-10A-1227 and one passenger Auto Reg. No. AS-11DC-3895 at Kajidahar Point in Silchar-Aizwal road (NH306) and seized 04 (four) nos. soap cases containing suspected to be heroine weighing 46.35 gms from the possession of two peddlers namely (1)Nihar Begum, 29 yrs of Byrnihat Amtola, PS: Sonapur, Dist- Ri Bhoi, Meghalaya and (2)Prasanna Kumar Das, 37 yrs Vill- Jhumbasti PS-Badarpur Dist-Karimganj. In another incident, one motorcycle bearing R/C No-AS-11-Y-1753 was intercepted by Dholai Police at Saraspur, Dholai and search twenty no’s plastic soap cage (260 grms) containing suspected to be brown sugar. Accordingly the narcotics substance was duly seized from the possession of the accused person namely Rasik Uddin Laskar (35 Yrs) of Loknathpur P.S- Dholai as per seizure.
