2409 tests +ve in Assam on Tuesday; tally rises to 1,46,575

Sept. 15: On Tuesday, 2409 new cases of COVID-19 were registered in Assam. With this, the state tally of novel coronavirus cases has now gone upto 1,46,575. At present, there are 31,029 active cases in the state. In a tweet, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 2409 #COVID cases detected today out of 32770 tests done in last 24 hours Positivity Rate- 7.35% Kamrup M- 633; Dibrugarh- 201; Jorhat- 172; Lakhimpur- 120.”

Further, during the day, 10 more deaths were reported from various parts of Assam, thereby taking the death toll of the state to 492.
