Moon Mission of USA was successful as they launched it on ‘Ekadashi’, claims RSS leader

September 10: The USA had succeeded in their 39th attempt to send their spacecraft to the moon because they had launched it on ‘Ekadashi’ day as per the Indian system of time measurement. This was claimed by former Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) activist Sambhaji Bhide on Monday, days after India’s lander Vikram of the Chandrayaan 2 mission lost contact while it was nearing the moon’s surface.

Right-wing leader Sambhaji Bhide who is known for controversial leader remarks has once again left everyone amused with his remark. While speaking at an event in Solapur Bhide said ,.”America attempted to send their spacecraft on the lunar surface 38 times earlier but failed on all those occasions. To all their surprise, the Americans succeeded in sending their spacecraft to the moon in the 39th attempt which was based on the Indian time measurement system. They were successful because the spacecraft was launched on the day of ‘Ekadashi’.

Mr Bhide had claimed in the past that a number of couples were blessed with sons after eating mangoes from his orchard. Mr Bhide had said in Nashik, “Mangoes are powerful and nutritious. Some women who ate mangoes from my garden have given birth to sons.”

‘Ekadashi’ is the eleventh lunar day (tithi) of each of the two lunar phases which occur in a Hindu calendar month- the Sukla Paksha and the Krishna Paksha. Ekadashi is considered a spiritual day and is usually observed by partial fast.

Meanwhile, social media is replete with the comment made by Sambhaji Bhide. A facebook user recommended, “Govt. of India should appoint Sambhaji Bhide as the Chairman of ISRO.” Another wrote, “NASA will have a heart attack if they come to know about Ekadashi.” A twitter user commented, “Wow, what a nice concept. Now all the scientists of ISRO should observe Ekadashi regularly.”
