July 27: On Tuesday, 2-time World Championships bronze medalist Lovlina Borgohain produced an impressive performance to beat German boxer Nadine Apetz 3-2 in a keenly contested women’s pre-quarterfinal bout of the Tokyo Olympics. The first woman boxer from Assam at the Games came up with a commanding display over experienced Germany’s Nadine Apetz at the Kokugikan Arena.
