Lockdown effect: WhatsApp reduces video status to 15 seconds

March 29: Lockdown is now presently witnessed in most of the nations of the world including India. As a result, people now are passing their time by logging on to internet. The internet usage has risen almost 30 percent globally. In order to reduce the traffic on the server infrastructure, WhatsApp users will no longer be able to upload a video status of more than 15 seconds.

The earlier limit for video status in WhatsApp was 30 seconds. The notification from WhatsApp, however, clarified that the restriction is ‘temporary’ and the full functionality will be restored in the near future.
