তাদের বুঝতে অসুবিধে হয়নি বাইক-স্কুটি চুরিই তার বর্তমান পেশা। উত্তমমধ্যম দিয়ে পুলিশের হাতে তুলে দেওয়া হয়। পুলিশ ৪টি স্কুটিই বাজেয়াপ্ত করেছে। পুলিশ জানিয়েছে, ধৃতের নাম বাবু দাস। তাদের অনুমান, সে বড় কোনও চোরচক্রে জড়িত। তাকে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করে চুরি যাওয়া আরও বাইক-স্কুটি উদ্ধার করা সম্ভব হবে। সঙ্গে গ্রেফতার করা যাবে আরও বেশ কিছু সাগরেদকে।
October 28: On Sunday, the residents of 3rd Link Road caught hold of a two-wheeler thief and handed him over to Rangirkhari police. His name is Babu Das. Four scooties were recovered from his possession.
People of the locality alleged that since many days they suspected something fishy going on in the house where he stayed as a tenant. Many strangers used to visit his house off and on. People also use to see various types of bike and scooty near his house. On Sinday, people saw him cleaning a scooty near his gate. When some of them went to inquire about the scooty he gave unrelated answers, which raised their suspicion. At one time, he started arguing with them. At that moment, the neighbours entered his house and saw 3 more scooties inside. This made them certain that he belongs to gang of robbers who steal two-wheelers.
On being informed, Rangirkhari police reached his house and arrested the accused Babu Das. Police also seized the 4 scooties found in his possession. Police is apprehending that he belongs to a gang of two-wheeler robbers. Police has informed that they were able to trace the owners of three stolen scooties. They will produce the thief before the court on Monday.
