Lions & YASE organised free eye camp, examines 204 patients
June 25: It’s another grand successful collaboration of the two reputed organisations of Silchar. A ‘Free Cataract Detection and Eye Check up camp’ was organised jointly by Lions Club of Silchar Lioness(LCSL) and Youth Against Social Evils (YASE) at Neirgram ME School (near Bagpur) on Tuesday. A total of 204 patients were examined in the Eye Check-up camp. Dr. Misti Sen and other supporting staff of Lions Eye Hospital, Silchar extended their wholehearted cooperation in conducting this camp for the poor and needy.
Out of the 204 patients examined in the camp, 139 of them were given free spectacles and free medicine. 17 patients were detected having cataract and were brought to Lions Eye Hospital for free operation.
On behalf of LCSL, President Sakhi Bhattacharjee, Uma Kar and Sanjukta Dutta Roy were present and on behalf of YASE Central committee President Sanjeev Roy, General Secretary Abdul Mukhit Laskar, Sual Ahmed Barbhuiya, Jewel Ahmed Barbhuiya, Ajmal Hussain Laskar, Anwar Hussain Laskar, Kabir Ahmad Barbhuiya and Ziaur Rahman Laskar were present.
