Lions & YASE conducts Cataract detection & Eye chech up camp at Kalinagar

August 12: In another successful act of collaboration, Lions Club of Silchar Lioness(LCSL) and Youths Against Social Evils (YASE) has jointly organised a free ‘Cataract detection and Eye check up Camp’ at Kalinagar Tea Garden, under Borkhola constituency on Monday.

Dr Jhalak Debroy and supporting staff of Lions Eye Hospital examined 80 patients. 9 patients were detected with cataract and were brought to Lions Eye Hospital for free operation. 37 patients were given free spectacles and free medicine was also distributed among the patients.

On behalf of LCSL Sakhi Bhattacharjee and Indrani Bhattacharjee were present and on behalf of YASE Anuradha Maal (camp Incharge), Sanjeev Roy, Subashis Das, Bandita Trivedi Roy, Amit Singha, Lalbabu Bauri, Kanak Bauri and Anita Das were present.

General Manager  of Rampur Tea Garden Virendar Singh Rathore and Nirmal Singh came forward and  cooperated to make the camp a grand success.
