Lioness & YASE organise free eye camp at Katigorah

February 11: Lions Club of Silchar Lioness (LCSL) and Youths Against Social Evils (YASE) jointly organised a ‘Free Cataract Detection and Eye Check-up Camp’ at Rising Child Academy in Sadirkhal Bazar under Katigora constituency on Tuesday. A total of 272 patients were examined by the doctors and supporting staff of Lions Eye Hospital (LEH), Silchar.

Out of the 272 patients examined, 14 of them were detected with cataract and were brought to Lions Eye Hospital for free operation. 115 patients were given free spectacles and maximum patients were given free medicine too.

On behalf of LCSL Sakhi Bhattacharjee, Indrani Bhattacharjer and Sima Banik were present and on behalf of YASE Sanjeev Roy, Samsul Islam, Jubair Ahmed, Rukon Uddin Talukdar, Samar Kanti Das, Ashim Roy, Abul Hussain, Prosonno Das were present.

The school authority of Rising Child Academy gave heartfelt co-operation to LCSL and YASE to make the event a grand success.
