Lioness & YASE gives relief to 100 families at Chencoorie Tea Garden

April 15: Lions Club Of Silchar Lioness (LCSL) and Youths Against Social Evils (YASE) stood besides the people in distress at this juncture when lockdown has been enhanced by another 19 days. Food items like rice, dal, potato, oil, salt were distributed among hundred poor families of Chencoorie Tea Garden under Tapang Development Block, Silchar. The beneficiaries were pre-selected by them.

Not only food materials, they also distributed soap for maintaining proper hygiene. Free masks were also distributed by LCSL and proper hand washing process was displayed by YASE members as a part of the awareness programme on Covid-19.

On behalf of LCSL Dr Monika Deb, Sakhi Bhattacharjee, Anjana Dev, Nandini Purokaysta were present. On behalf of YASE Central Committee President Sanjeev Roy, Programme Co-ordinator Fagun Ruidas, Anjan Bakti, Biswa Ree, Shyamlal Kanu, Jitendra Ree and Kartik Ruidas were present. Lion Arindam Bhattacharjee and Lion Kanai Kanshabanik guided the programme throughout.
