‘Lion King’ theme with 20 animation characters to attract children at Itkhola Kali Puja

October 26: In an unique endeavor, three organisations- Friends Club, Kishor Samaj and Navajagaran came together a few years ago and jointly performed Kali Puja at Itkhola. The result was instant success. A huge crowd gathers in their combined puja pandal to witness the unique blend of workmanship mixed with religious fervour. Themes like Jungle book, Dinasorus, Anaconda, Gorgila, Onida, Pikaju ,Micky & Donald etc not only attracted huge crowd but they also won many awards in different categories.

This year too, Friends Club, Kishor Samaj and Navajagaran Kali Puja Committee are all ready to offer to the people of this town a fantastic puja pandal at Itkhola. In a press meet convened on Saturday, Sanjeev Roy, one of the Advisor of the puja committee said, “This year we have taken the theme “Lion King” which became immense popular among the Children worldwide. Indian kids are a huge fan of the character of ‘Lion King.’ We are certain that this theme will be a huge crowd puller. Children especially would love to visit our pandal.”

Manobendra. Purkayastha, President of the Kali Puja Committee said, ” Our main motto is to focus on the themes, related to children, which gives them fun, laughter and enjoyment. At least, for 3-4 days, we want to provide the children with pure entertainment to them who remain otherwise burdened by their school books. We assure cent percent relaxation and amusement to the children and urge upon the parents and guardians to visit our pandal along with their wards.”

Abhisekh Singh, General Secretary of the Committee also said, “The theme on Lion King is definitely going to win the young hearts. This time we will be displaying around 20 animation characters. These will be an added source of entertainment. We will be having volunteers who will do the work of crowd management. We request the parents and guardians not to forget visiting our pandal with their kids.”

Another Advisor Dip Narayan Goswami said that around a thousand devotees will be given ‘Mahaprasad on the next day of Kali Puja. He further wished all a happy and prosperous Diwali and Kali Puja. He further said that the budget of their puja is Rs.2.70 lakh. Also present in the press meet were Murlidhar Chauhan, Dilip kumar Singh, Uttam Srivastava, Tinku Dey among others.
