Lightning strikes at Coosipur Tea Estate, 10 female tea labourers injured

July 7: Thunderstorm coupled with lightning strikes again and injures 10 female tea garden workers at Coosipur Tea Estate in Cachar. Eye witnesses revealed that the ladies were having their tiffin seating together in Line No.19 of the garden. When suddenly roared the sky and the lightning struck them at around 1 in the afternoon.

The injured have been identified as Sabitri Rabidas, Rupanti Rabidas, Rita Rabidas, Basanti Rabidas, Ukha Rabidas, Rina Bawri, Sumi Bawri, Rina Rabidas, Asarun Bibi and Champa Rabidas and  were rushed to the Silchar Medical College and Hospital for treatment.
