Leo Club of Silchar gives financial help to a kidney patient

September 20: That the power of social media is immense has been proved once again. The members of Leo Club of Silchar came across a social media post wherein one Deepanjan Dutta made an appeal for financial help for his father Dilip Dutta, a resident of Silchar who was suffering from kidney ailment.

The information was enough for the good Samaritans of Leo Club of Silchar, who instantly decided to help the family in their own humble way. As such, on Friday, the Leos went to the residence of Dilip Dutta and handed over an amount of Rs. 7,000.

Speaking to way2barak, Leo Anupriya Deb said, “Few days back we were informed about one Mr. Dilip Dutta suffering from Kidney failure and having no financial support to continue his treatment. So, today Leo Club Of Silchar went to his residence and gave him an amount of Rs.7000 which may not help him in a very big manner but we hope we could contribute the minimum to help him. The smile in their faces was what made us smile.”

This is the original message posted on social media by Deepanjan Dutta: “My father is suffering from kidney failure for last 2 years but now his health condition is very poor and he just own a grocery shop we are not financially very good and I am his only son and is still studying. I can’t help anything financially to my family. Please I need your help to see my father alive please help me in saving my world my everything (my father). Doctors told us we can save him by kidney transplant only as his health condition is not good.”
