Leo Club of Karimganj Youth celebrates World Students’ Day

Oct. 16: Leo Club of Karimganj Youth celebrated World Students Day on the birth anniversary of former Indian President, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam on 15 October. The members of Leo Club of Karimganj Youth observed the day by distributing study materials among the children of Dinesh Chandra Deb Smriti Children Home at Karnamadhu in Karimganj.

The project was sponsor by Leo Srinath Banik, Immediate Past President of Leo Club of Karimganj Youth. The Leo members present during the occasion were Bithika Choudhury- Secretary, Srinath Banik Project Chairperson), Aparna Dey, Hira Paul, Rajdeep Goswami, Anirban Ghosh and Avishek Das.

On the same day, the Leos also distributed old clothes to the needy persons. Around 200 clothes were distributed. The clothes were voluntarily donated by a school boy Ratnadeep Roy on his birthday. He wished to get it done by Leo Club of Karimganj Youth. Leo Mayurakhi Bhowmik, PRO of the club said, “We feel really privileged that we are getting such response, and love from the common people of our town.”

The clothes distribution was sprearheaded by Rimu Kr. Deb (President), Bithika Choudhury (Secretary), Sohan Biswas, Namita Dey, Anirban Ghosh & Avishek Das.
