Kanika Swami Rural Volleyball tournament to begin from 2 Jan

Dec. 31: The 2nd Kanika Swami prize money Rural Volleyball knockout tournament will Kickstart from 2 January, 2021 at the playground of Itkhola Durga Mandir. This was announced by Bijendra Prasad Singh, Secretary of District Sports Association (DSA), Silchar during a press meet. A total of 16 matches will be played during the tournament.

Mr Singh expressed thanks to Debojit Swami and Debojyoti Swami, the two sponsors of the tournament. The 2-day tournament will begin at 10 AM on 2 January. The 1st, 2nd & 3rd position winners will be given Rs.10,000, Rs 5,000 and Rs 2,000 respectively. Further, no registration fees will be charged from the participating teams. The last date for registration is 31 December, 2020.

Apart from the 2 sponsors and Secretary DSA, Babul Hore – President of DSA and Shyamal Das were also present during the press meet.
