It’s history! Suryakumar becomes 1st Indian to score 1,000 T20I runs in a year
way2barak, Nov.6: The brilliant knock of 61 runs (not out) scored by Suryakumar Yadav against Zimbabwe was indeed a feast for the eyes. Yadav on Sunday created history by becoming the first-ever India batter to score 1,000 T20I runs in a calendar year. The 32-year-old reached the 1,000-run mark in T20Is in 2022 during his innings against Zimbabwe in their T20 World Cup 2022 match. Overall, he’s the second batter after Pakistan’s Muhammad Rizwan to score 1,000 T20I runs in a calendar year.
Suryakumar Yadav was adjudged as the Player of the Match for scoring 61 (not out) our of only 25 balls. After Suryakumar Yadav scored 61(25 balls) against Zimbabwe on Sunday, India head coach Rahul Dravid said the 32-year-old batter has been “absolutely phenomenal” for the side.

So the Super 12 stage is over and we have our four semifinalists! It will be New Zealand vs Pakistan in the first semifinal on November 9 at the Sydney Cricket Ground and India vs England on November 10 at the Adelaide Oval.
