IPL 2021 suspended indefinitely due to Covid-19,: BCCI Vice President
May 4: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has indefinitely postponed the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 after several players and support staff tested positive for COVID-19. This was informeed by BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla.
A suspension was on the card after Covid cases kept increasing despite the IPL bio-bubble. On Tuesday, as BCCI planned to move the entire tournament to Mumbai after all the players complete their quarantine phase.
