In rain-curtailed match, India defeats Bangladesh; tops the T20 points table

way2barak, Nov.2: India defeated Bangladesh by five runs (DLS method) in a rain-curtailed T20 World Cup 2022 Super 12 stage Group 2 match on Wednesday. India has now reached the top of the points table with this win. India has almost finalized its entry into the World Cup semi-finals with this win and has only one match left now against Zimbabwe, which will be played on 6 November.

India finished at 184 for 6 after 20 overs. The match was interrupted by expected rains, which destabilized the impressive start of the innings by Bangladesh batsman Litton Das who made 60 runs in just 27 balls. Bangladesh were given a revised target of 151 runs from 16 overs after rain interruption. India restricted them to 145/6 in 16 overs.

Virat Kohli once again remained undefeated and played a beautiful inning of 64 runs. Indian opener KL Rahul was back in much-required form as he contributed 50 runs on 32 balls.
