House on fire in Guwahati, 2 children burnt alive

January 23: Two brothers Iban Goswami (7) and Ishan Goswami (4) were burnt alive in a massive fire which broke out in their house. They were playing on the first floor of the house near Beltola in Guwahati while their mother and grandmother were at the ground floor of the house when the fire broke out.

As a result, both the children were charred to death. Their father, Tushar Goswami, is a geologist and presently out of Guwahati The exact cause of the fire is yet to ascertain.
