Hitesh Dev Sarma appointed new Assam NRC Coordinator

November 9: In a latest development, Hitesh Dev Sarma was appointed as the new NRC Coordinator of Assam. He will replace Prateek Hajela.

Mr. Deb Sarma was earlier the Executive Director of NRC in 2015. An ACS of 1989 batch, Hitesh Dev Sarma is presently the Secretary to the Government of Assam, Urban Development and Finance Department. He has been given additional charge as Secretary to the Government of Assam, Home and Political Department. .
