Hindi Fortnight celebration to end on Sunday

২৫ সেপ্টেম্বরঃ বরাক উপত্যকার বেশ কয়েকটি সংগঠন এ বার জোটবদ্ধ হয়ে সম্মিলিত হিন্দি পক্ষ উদযাপন করে চলেছে। গত ১৫ সেপ্টেম্বর শিলকুড়ি বরমবাবা মন্দির চত্বরে আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে এর সূচনা হয়। পরে বিভিন্ন দিনে নানা প্রতিযোগিতামূলক অনুষ্ঠান হয়। এখন প্রস্তুতি চলছে সমাপ্তি অনুষ্ঠানের। বড়সড় প্রয়াস নিয়েছে হিন্দিপক্ষ আয়োজক সমিতি। সাধারণ সম্পাদক দিলীপ কুমার জানান, বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের নেতাজি সুভাষ মঞ্চে সে অনুষ্ঠান হবে। প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত থাকবেন বিশিষ্ট গায়ক ড. মন্নু যাদব।

গত কয়েকদিনে সঙ্গীত, চিত্রাঙ্কন, যোগাসন, বিতর্ক, তৎকালীন বক্তৃতা, আবৃত্তি, কবিতা, সংষ্কৃত শ্লোক, রামায়ণের দোহা,  চৌপাই, ও রামায়ণের শ্লোক প্রভৃতি প্রতিযোগিতা সম্পন্ন হয়। সে সবে বরাক উপত্যকার বিভিন্ন স্থান থেকে প্রতিযোগীরা আসেন। ছোট-ছোট শিশুদের পাশাপাশি ৫০ বছরের ব্যক্তিরাও অংশ নেন। এখন শুধু সঙ্গীত প্রতিযোগিতার ফাইনাল রাউণ্ড বাকি। সেটি আগামী ৩০ সেপ্টেম্বর আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের নেতাজি মঞ্চে আয়োজিত মুখ্য অনুষ্ঠানে অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। একই অনুষ্ঠানে সমস্ত প্রতিযোগিতার বিজয়ীদের ট্রফি ও মানপত্র দিয়ে পুরস্কৃত করা হবে। অংশগ্রহণকারী সকলকেই মানপত্র প্রদান করা হবে বলেও দিলীপবাবু জানিয়েছেন।

September 25: Many of the organizations have joined hands to celebrate Hindi Fortnight in a befitting way. The celebration was formally inaugurated in the premises of the temple of Baram Baba at Silkuri on 15 September. Various sports events were also organized on different days. Preparation is on now for the closing ceremony of the 15 days long programme on Sunday. The committee organizing this grand programme has planned for a huge concluding ceremony. The chief guest of the closing ceremony will be popular singer Dr. Munna Yadav.

In the last few days, various types of competitions were held, such as, music, art, yoga, debate, extempore speech, recitation, Sanskrit Slokas, Dohas from Ramayana etc. Boys and girls from far and near participated in these competitions. Along with the kids, people aged 50 years also participated in certain events. The closing ceremony will be held on 30 September in the Netaji Manch of Assam University. Prizes will also be given on that day.
