500 kg Marijuana seized at Badarpur

২০ নভেম্বরঃ ৫০০ কেজি গাঁজা ধরল বিএসএফ। সঙ্গে রাজস্ব গোয়েন্দা সংস্থা (ডিআরআই)-র অফিসাররা। বিশেষ সূত্রে খবর পেয়ে যৌথ অভিযানের ছক কষেন তাঁরা।সেই অনুসারেই বদরপুরে একটি ট্রাক আটকে তল্লাশি চালানো হয়। তাতেই ধরা পড়ে,  ২৩টি প্যাকেটে লুকনো রয়েছে ৪৯৫ কেজি গাঁজা। যার বাজারমূল্য ২৭ লক্ষ ২২ হাজার ৫০০ টাকা বলে বিএসএফ জানিয়েছে।ও

পরে ১৫ হাজার কেজি রাবার। নীচে বিশেষ জায়গা বানিয়ে গাঁজার প্যাকেটগুলি রাখা ছিল।গাঁজা, রাবারা, নগদ ২৫ হাজার টাকা সহ গাড়িটিও  বাজেয়াপ্ত করা হয়েছে। চালক, খালাসিকে আটকে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করা হচ্ছে। আগরতলা থেকে রাবার নিয়ে গাড়িটি বিহারে যাচ্ছিল বলে জানতে পেরেছে বিএসএফ।

November 20: BSF along with officers of Directorate of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence has seized 500 kg marijuana. On being tipped off by informers, they jointly launched the operation and stopped a truck at Badarpur. On searching the truck, 23 packets of marijuana containing 495 kg of substance were found hidden. The market price of the seized marijuana was estimated to be worth Rs. 27 lakh, 22 thousand and 500.

The marijuana was hidden beneath rubber strips weighing 15 thousand kg. BSFhas seized marijuana, rubber and cash worth Rupees 25 thousand. The truck was also seized. The driver and the handyman of the truck are being interrogated for further details. BSF has come to know that the truck carrying rubber was going to Bihar from Agartala.
