Silchar 28: Hindu Samhati, Silchar organised a rally on the early hours of Mahalaya morning to mark the home coming of Goddess Durga. Around 1500 cadres and supporters of Hindu Samhati, from different parts of Silchar attended the rally. The rally originated from Narshingtola ground at Silchar at 7 in the morning.
A tabloid was taken out during the rally which was a replica of the detention camp wherein live demonstration of life spent inside detention camps of Assam was displayed. The replica of Detention Camp was followed by a huge foot rally, which was followed by a contingent of motor bikes.
Hindu Samhati appealed to people from every walk of life, socio-cultural organisations and the members of various Puja committees of Silchar to join them in the rally. As a response to their appeal, people from various organisations also joined the rally.
