Ahead of Magh Bihu, Assam CM receives 10 kg fish as gift

Jan. 11: Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma received a 10 kg fish as a gift from representatives of a fish traders’ body of Uzan Bazar, Guwahati ahead of Magh Bihu. Also known as ‘Bhogali Bihu’, this festival is celebrated in Assam in the month of Magh. The festival includes community feasts after the annual harvest takes place.
