পরীক্ষায় ভাল নম্বরই সবকিছু নয়, পরীক্ষা পে চর্চায় বললেন মোদি

January 20: We can add enthusiasm to every aspect of life. A temporary setback doesn’t mean success is not waiting. Infact, a setback may mean the best is yet to come: These and many other phrases of inspiration was used by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday while interacting with students, teachers, and parents during his 3rd edition of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha 2020’ programme held at the Talkatora Stadium in Delhi.

Talking about how the Indian team played against the tide and won the India-Australia Test series in 2001, PM Modi said, “Remember India-Australia Test series in 2001? Our team was facing setbacks and the mood wasn’t great. But, we can never forget how Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman turned the match around. This is power of positive thinking & motivation.”

Modi in his annual ‘Pariksha pe Charcha’ event said the new decade will be of those who are now in secondary schools and it’s important for them to envision their leadership role in India. While advising students to not fear technology and take full advantage of it, he advised against technology addiction.

PM Modi answered a query by a student on the importance of exams and marks and clarified that good marks were not everything. He stated that we needed to come out of the thinking that exams are all and that life was much more than exams.

The very first question was asked by a student who confessed that the thought of board exams was a “mood-off” for her. In his reply, PM Modi related how scientists at ISRO overcame their dismay after the failure to land Chandrayaaan’s lander on the moon last year. “We can learn lessons of success even in our failure. We cannot let demotivation defeat us,” he said.

This is the third edition of “Pariksha Pe Charcha“. Some 2,000 students and teachers attended the event; 1,050 students were short-listed on the basis of essays submitted by them on five subjects – Gratitude is Great, Your Future Depends on Your Aspirations, Examining Exams, Our Duties, Your Take, and Balance is Beneficial.
