GOAL again! France leads 2-0 against Morocco in the FIFA World Cup semi-final

Credit all the same to Kolo Muani, who anticipates the deflection to Mbappes shot and races in to tap home from close range for his first international goal. Surely even Morocco can’t come back from this! The second goal is scored at the 79th minute of the in the FIFA World Cup 2022 second semi-final.

Substitute Kolo Muani scored his first international goal in just 44 seconds after coming on as a substitute. France can breathe a bit now after doubling their lead with just 10 minutes remaining in the regulation time.

Earlier, Morocco conceded their first goal to an opponent in the tournament. Griezmann slipped El Yamiq on the right and crossed towards Mbappe. Mbappe had two shots blocked from the penalty area but the ball ricocheted towards Hernandez at the far post. Hernandez shot the bouncing ball past both Morocco keeper Bono and scored the 1st goal against Morocco at the 5th minute in the FIFA World Cup 2022 second semi-final.

• Goal 2: Kolo Muani (79th minute)

Theo Hernandez’s goal, after four minutes and 39 seconds, was the earliest scored in a World Cup semi-final since Vava for Brazil against France in 1958.

The 2nd semi-final is now played between between France and Morocco at Al Bayt Stadium, Al Khor, 12:30 AM IST on 15 December. The final of the FIFA World Cup 2022 will be played on Sunday (December 18) at the Lusail Iconic Stadium in Lusail.
