From Mall to Basti, merchants from Goldighi distributes relief

April 30: Merchants who usually remain under lights and air-condition environment have also now joined millions in helping the people during lockdown. It’s indeed a welcome move made by the Goldighi Mall Merchant Welfare Association that its members are now providing dry food stuff to the distressed. On Wednesday, the members of the Association gave relief materials to 100 families at Manipuri Basti, Roygarh under Tarapur GP, Silchar.

The Association distributed rice, dal, mustard oil, potato and salt. Present with the merchants was Silchar MLA Dilip Kumar Paul, who also handed over the aid to the poor and needy. It needs mention here that the Goldighi Mall Association also reached out to the poor people of Chirukandi on 26 April.

On 30 April, apart from, apart from MLA Dilip Kumar Paul, also present during the grocery distribution were the President of the Goldighi Mall Merchant Welfare Association Ramanuj Gupta, Secretary Amrit Paul, Treasurer Sandip Paul, Gobinda Kangsha Banik, Rahul Paul, Tapan Roy, Anup Acharjee, Kajal Karmakar among others.
