Free blood test organised by Ambicapur Purbapara & Hospital Road Durga Puja Committee

August 15: As a part of the centenary Durga Puja Celebration, Ambicapur Purbapara and Hospital Road Durga Puja Committee celebrated the 73rd Independence Day in a befitting manner. The day began for them with the hoisting of the national flag in presence of the members of the Puja Committee. As a part of social commitment, they organised a free blood test camp wherein a total of 134 persons did the various tests of blood free of cost.

All the tests were done free of cost, which included Blood Grouping. This was done by S. Kanta Sinha and Ramu Namasudra. The Blood Grouping Test was done with technical collaboration of Biomed.

Blood Sugar Test was  done by Biswajit Deb Roy. Lipid Profile Test was done under the supervision of Cipla Ltd. The technical staff who did this test were Subrajyoti Dey and Atanu Nag. Bappa Roy from Abbott with the help of Manna Roy from SRL did the Liver Function Test (LFT) for the beneficiaries.

Further, with active collaboration of Department of Microbiology, Silchar Medical College and Hospital, blood test for Hepatitis B, Seerining and Hepatitis B antibody level test were done. These tests were done by Dr. Barnamoy Bhattacharjee, Dr. Namrata Sonowal,  Anirbanjyoti Choudhury and Ramu Kumar Das.

The organisers were well prepared for the free blood test camp and also made available renowned doctors at the test site. The doctors in whose presence the tests were done are Dr. Satish Sutradhar, Dr. S.C. Paul, Dr. Anirudhha Biswas, Dr. Bablu Banik, Dr. Debadatta Chanda, Dr. Ranabir Paul and Dr. Sudip Chanda.

A cultural programme was also held in the evening wherein renowned artists and bands of the town performed mesmerising numbers.
