Former CM of West Bengal & CPI(M) leader Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee admitted in ICU
September 6: The two-time former Chief Minister of West Bengal and veteran Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPM) leader Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee was admitted in the ICU of Woodlands Multi-specialty Hospital, Kolkata at around 8 PM on Friday after he complained of breathlessness. Mr. Bhattacharjee has been suffering from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, a respiratory ailment, for some time now.
As per hospital report, the condition of the 75-year-old leader appeared to be quite serious. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also visited the facility to enquire about his health.
