Modi has hijacked Parliament’: Gaurav Gogoi hits out as Winter Session begins

way2barak, Dec 1:  Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi took a sharp dig at Prime Minister and BJP-led central government claimg that “Narendra Modi has hijacked the Parliament” as the Parliament Winter Session began on Monday.

Sharing a post on X, the Congress MP said, “Prime Minister Modi has hijacked the Parliament of India. The Prime Minister does not want to be held accountable to any of the major issues raised by the political parties.”

He  said that during a meeting of floor leaders, opposition parties had sought a discussion on the Indian election system, but the BJP “is simply refusing.”

“In the meeting of floor leaders, all political parties belonging to the opposition wanted to discuss the Indian election system. Yet the BJP is simply refusing to list the discussion in the parliament agenda for this week. Political parties want the Parliament to reflect the agenda of both the ruling and the opposition,” he wrote on X.
