Joydeep Paul & Dr Miraj Aziz speaks about their multi-service booking app BOOKINZA

Oct. 13: The co-founders of the multi-service booking app BOOKINZA Mr Joydeep Paul and Dr Miraj Aziz spoke with Dr. Himabrata Das for way2barak about their fascinating entrepreneurial journey.

H.D. Congratulations Miraj on your new app Bookinza. What is the app about and what are you offering to your users?

Bookinza: Thank you soo much! First of all, we the Bookinza Team feel privileged to be here. Bookinza app which is at present live on Google Play store is a multi service booking app and is aiming to provide necessary solutions to the problems which are urgent, essential and indispensable in nature. We are basically trying to offer services categorized under installation, repair, maintenance in respect to electrical issues, plumbing as well as appliance of daily usage etc. We are trying to make an easier life where atleast you do not require to go out and waste your time searching quality service person for your regular needs. After launching our app, we have provided satisfactory services We want to do far better by expanding the scope of services so that the demand of quality service is met.

H.D. Our readers would love to know what prompted you to develop the app

Bookinza: As a entrepreneur, we must say there are many person who are really trying to set their business.and having some idea of doing something. We have seen many giants providing services/ products in the cities, we have seen many big companies providing food directly at home. Basically there is nothing which directly prompted us to develop the app, but there are many things viz demand of quality service, need of services urgent in nature, a service or a product which is widely available to a particular area which has demands in other locations too but actual service or product provider at a minimum price is not available. Say for e.g. a delicious cake is always enjoyed by the people who are really near to a good bakery or at a delivery range or online good food provider or mainly by the consumer located in the city, and what about if we need a cake at somewhere say Kabuganj area for one of our friend’s Birthday? Is it possible for the Bakery to deliver?

Imagine a situation, where a pregnant lady or a high diabetes patient has to travel 20-30 kms in the morning to reach a lab for submitting pathology samples, while some test need empty stomach, as well be in queue incurring travelling costs. What if a lab can reach out to your home for the same? This is exactly what we will be doing. There are many other problems. A few years ago, one of our friends asked for a plumber who could repair a tube well. At that moment, we were clueless. These are a few instances which really prompted us to make or develop the app to work as a catalyst in solving the day-to-day problems of the people of our locality.

H.D. Tell us a little bit about your educational background. Have you always been fascinated by technology?

Bookinza: I am a dental surgeon by professional and my friend (Joydeep) is a graduate in commerce. Yes, technology is one such aspect which was always very close to our heart. But even a few years ago, we never thought of developing an app of this ind. It is only a few months ago that this aspect made a nest in our mind. Once decided, there was no looking back.

H.D. As an entrepreneur,what opportunities do you believe prevail for online shopping?

Bookinza: We are still learning, there are lot more.. We at present cannot categorically say this or that.. But e-commerce or online market is going to boom in the near future in this part of the region.

H.D. And lastly, what is your dream about the app Bookinza?

Bookinza: Out present aim is to satisfy our customers with quality service. We pledge to provide service within a range of 25 to 30 kms. Based on the response, we hope to expand our arms soon.
