Fake Certificate: Another GP President in the hands of police

২৪ ফেব্রুয়ারিঃ আরও এক পঞ্চায়েত সভাপতি পুলিশের জালে। কারণ একটাই, শিক্ষা যোগ্যতার ভুয়ো প্রমাণপত্র দাখিল। শনিবার রাতে হাইলাকান্দি জেলার লালাবাজারে আটক করা হয় মোহম্মদপুর-জয়কৃষ্ণপুর পঞ্চায়েতের নবনির্বাচিত সভাপতি আবুল হোসেন লস্করকে।

তাঁর সঙ্গে নির্বাচনে পরাস্ত হয়ে বক্তারউদ্দিন লস্কর আবুল হোসেনের বিরুদ্ধে মামলা করেন। অভিযোগ জানান, তিনি মনোনয়ন পত্রের সঙ্গে যে শিক্ষাগত যোগ্যতার প্রমাণপত্র দাখিল করেছেন, সেটি জাল।

আদালতের নির্দেশে প্রাথমিক তদন্তের পরই আবুল হোসেনকে আটক করা হয়েছে বলে পুলিশ জানিয়েছে। এ নিয়ে কিছুদিনের মধ্যে বেশ কয়েকজন পঞ্চায়েত সভাপতি গ্রেফতার হলেন। সকলের বিরদ্ধেই এক অভিযোগ, নতুন পঞ্চায়েত আইনে প্রার্থীদের শিক্ষাগত যোগ্যতা  বেঁধে দেওয়ায় তাঁরা দাঁড়াতে পারছিলেন না।

তাই শিক্ষাগত যোগ্যতার জাল সার্টিফিকেট সংগ্রহ করে মনোনয়ন পত্র দাখিল করেন। একই অভিযোগে করিমগঞ্জ জেলা পরিষদের সদস্য আব্দুল শুক্কুরও ধরা পড়েছেন।

February 24: Another Panchayat president is now in the web of police. The reason is same as that of earlier cases. All of them contested Panchayat polls by producing false certificates of educational qualification. On Saturday night, the newly elected Gaon Panchayat (GP) President of Mohammadpur-Joykrishnapur, Abdul Hussain Laskar was arrested by the police at Lalabazar area of Hailakandi.

On being defeated in the Panchayat election against Abdul Hussain, a case was filed by Baktar Uddin Laskar. He alleged that the certificate of educational qualification submitted by Abdul Hussain while filing was nomination was fake.

A thorough investigation was subsequently carried out in this regard under the direction of the court. It was only after that Abul Hussain was arrested by the police. A few other GP Presidents were also recently arrested for producing fake certificates.

In a similar incident, Adbul Sukkur from Karimganj district was also arrested a few days ago. He won the election of Zilla Parishad member. He too submitted forged document of educational qualification.
